Terms & Conditions

Consent: By submitting this form, you agree to these terms and to be emailed by Birdo Sweaters.

Scope of Service

  • Birdo Sweaters primarily customizes hockey jerseys only.

  • Other jersey types or are not accepted unless specifically agreed upon in advance.

  • Jerseys must be blank before being accepted for customization.

  • Kit removals/stripping is not available.

  • Any kits made out-of-house that are sent by the customer are considered to be acceptable by the customer. No modifications will be made to customer-accepted kits.

  • I will always strive to achieve on-ice and historical accuracy, but some things just aren’t possible due to extinct methods, materials, and equipment.

Waitlist & Order Process

  • All work is scheduled through a waitlist system. When your turn has arrived, you will receive an email inviting you to send your jerseys in.

  • You have 5 business days to confirm and/or ship your jersey in. If there is no response within that time frame, or if follow-up communication stalls, the spot may be forfeited and/or you may be required to rejoin the waitlist.

  • You must receive an invitation email before sending your jersey. Any jerseys received without prior notice will be sent back at customer’s expense.

  • Tracking number is essential to know when to expect your jersey.

  • Due to workload and limited capacity, spots cannot be held indefinitely.

Payment Policies

  • Payment is due once work is completed unless otherwise stated. A request will be sent through your platform of choice through either Zelle, CashApp, Venmo or PayPal. Add 4% to total if using Goods & Services through any platform.

  • If payment is not received within 15 calendar days without prior communication, any jerseys and materials will be sold to recoup costs.

  • A rush service is available for $75 per jersey, subject to availability. This moves your jerseys the front of the queue but does not guarantee specific completion date.

  • Rush orders require advance payment of kit materials and the rush fee before work begins. This deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced.

Limitations & Project Restrictions

No Parts-Only Work

  • Birdo Sweaters does not cut, ship, or supply loose nameplates, letters or numbers, blank fabric, partial materials, templates or patterns. All work must be done on the actual jersey being customized.

No Third-Party Coordination

  • Projects must be entirely in-house or entirely with another shop.

  • Third-party kits provided by the customer will be assumed to be accepted, no editing or modifications will be done on customer-provided kits.

  • Birdo Sweaters will not step into a project already started by another customizer or attempt to “fix,” “match,” or “finish” someone else’s work.

No Guaranteed 1:1 On-Ice Matching

  • Although I strive to maintain accuracy, I cannot replicate all proprietary team/manufacturer construction such as industrial serging, factory bonding, or unreleased fonts.

  • Fonts are limited to Birdo Sweaters existing templates; custom font recreation requests cannot be accepted.

Proofs and Accuracy

  • When needed, proofs of the kit design and sizing can be sent. This can happen before or after the jersey is sent in, and ALWAYS before the kit is produced. This is available upon request.

  • Once the font and sizing is accepted, it will not, under any circumstance, be modified.

Communication Expectations

  • In order to simplify communications, please condense all questions you may have into one email or message.

  • Hostile and abusive communication will not be tolerated and will lead to order cancellation and a denial of future services.

  • Communication schedule may vary depending on workload.

  • Timelines can vary based on position in the queue, order complexity, and material availability so Birdo Sweaters cannot provide turnaround times.

Order Cancellation and Refunds

  • Birdo Sweaters may cancel a project for the following reasons

    • Project falls outside the scope of services

    • Customer fails to keep communication

    • Communication becomes inappropriate

  • Once an order is started, which occurs when the jersey arrives in-house, it will not, under any circumstances, be cancelled at the customer’s request.

  • If an order is refunded, it will not be revisited in any way.

Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for any and all shipping costs and liabilities to and from Birdo Sweaters.

  • Birdo Sweaters is not liable for damaged or lost packages. Shipping insurance is highly encouraged.

  • Due to a tight and highly sporadic schedule, drop offs and pick up are not available. Shipping using USPS is preferred and receives the quickest delivery time to Birdo Sweaters’ PO Box.

  • Return shipping for order corrections is at the customer’s expense.

Policy Changes

  • Birdo Sweaters may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
    The version posted at the time of your order will govern your project.
